Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 24, 2026

Landmark Mortgages is committed to making this website usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and those using assistive technologies.

1. Our Commitment

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance Level AA, the standard recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) for accessible websites. This is the same standard referenced by Canadian and provincial accessibility legislation, including the Accessible British Columbia Act and the federal Accessible Canada Act.

2. What's in Place Today

This website currently includes the following accessibility features:

  • ·Semantic HTML structure (headings, lists, and landmarks) so screen readers can navigate the page logically;
  • ·Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and icons;
  • ·Sufficient colour contrast between text and background, intended to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios;
  • ·Keyboard-accessible navigation, links, and form fields, with visible focus indicators;
  • ·Forms with associated, descriptive labels and clear error messages;
  • ·A responsive layout that adapts to phone, tablet, and desktop screen sizes;
  • ·Text that can be resized using browser controls without loss of content or functionality; and
  • ·Avoidance of auto-playing audio or video, flashing content, and content that requires only colour to convey meaning.

3. Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. As we add new pages, content, calculators, and third-party integrations, we test for accessibility issues and address them as part of our normal site maintenance. Some areas we know require continued attention:

  • ·Third-party embeds (such as Google reviews, lender widgets, and social media feeds), which we do not fully control;
  • ·PDF documents and downloadable resources, which we are working to provide in accessible formats; and
  • ·New content added to the site, which is reviewed against our accessibility standards before going live.

4. Alternative Ways to Reach Us

If any part of this website is difficult for you to use, you do not need to use the site to work with us. We are happy to handle your entire mortgage process by:

  • ·Phone or text: 250-889-1686;
  • ·Email: kyle@landmarkmortgages.ca;
  • ·Video consultation (Zoom, Google Meet, or your preferred platform); and
  • ·In-person meetings in the Greater Victoria area, by appointment.

We can also provide documents and disclosures in alternative formats on request, including large print or plain-text versions of forms and information sheets, where reasonably practicable.

5. Reporting an Accessibility Issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website (for example, content that is hard to read, a form that doesn't work with your screen reader, or a feature you can't access with the keyboard), please let us know. We treat every report as feedback we can use to improve.

When you contact us, it helps to include:

  • ·The page URL where you encountered the issue;
  • ·A short description of the problem; and
  • ·The browser, device, and assistive technology you were using (if you know).

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and to provide a substantive response or fix as soon as reasonably possible.
